Export/Import

These are a couple of things you might need to know about the export/import dialog:

  • To select a folder and see content on the right side, tap the folder "bar"/name not the blue arrow.
  • If you tap the blue arrow, then you drill-down to the folder (to see sub-folders).
  • The same thing if you are exporting you have to select a folder from the left to export to.
  • Root folder for dropBox is not supported. Other apps allow you only to export to their AppName folder, we allow to export to any folder, so you need to export your content to any folder not the root; and you can create folders right from the export/import dialog.

Why do I lose indentation in Evernote export if edited in Evernote?

MagicalPad exports well formatted indented plain text to Evernote; Evernote edit is different if you edit from the web client, desktop or mobile client. This is due to Evernote formatting changes; you can even export an Evernote note from Evernote iPad, edit it on the web client, then you can see that your indentation is lost on Evernote for iPad. This has nothing to do with MagicalPad.
