I am trying to find the data files as there is no ‘save-as’ feature to allow for self backup. I really want to be able to export a notepad as the sync has so many issues. I have lost data a number of times in the couple of days I have been using the software.
I see the dropbox folder that has some strange .mpsync files that don’t relate to the number of books I have. I can’t work out the file structure. It seems that there is one .mpsync file per page but that is my interpretation of what I was seeing.
Also, during a sync issue, all of the sample file got emptied – 0 pages in each. I wanted to get them back but a re-install of the software does not reinstall them and unlinking dropbox also does not bring them back. It is as if there is a marker outside of the application folder that is keeping track. Even wiping the dropbox folder and reinstalling did not fix it.
How can a user backup their notepads?

I can only offer the idea of using TimeMachine and seeing if that might be of help for you?

You’ll find the notebooks in this path:
I just recovered one using TimeMachine. Worked perfectly!
Hope that helps…
